About this trip

A day at Shaab El Erg, the reef where wild spinner dolphins rest, with time to watch them from the boat.

They are wild animals: nobody can promise they will be there, and we do not. There is a snorkelling stop either way, with gear on board and a guide in the water, and the reef is worth the crossing on a day the dolphins are elsewhere. Thirty places, eight hours, out at eight.

How the day goes

  • Air-conditioned pick-up from your hotel.
  • Transfer to Hurghada Marina, and boarding.
  • Sailing out to Shaab El Erg.
  • This is where the spinner dolphins rest, and there is time to watch them from the boat.
  • They are wild animals: nobody can promise they will be there, and we do not.
  • A snorkelling stop — mask, snorkel and fins are on board, and a guide is in the water with you.
  • Soft drinks and water are on board all day.
  • Sailing back to the marina.
  • The transfer back to your hotel.

Good to know

Confirmation is sent within 24 hours.
The trip depends on the weather and the state of the sea. If the coastguard closes the port we move you to another day or refund you in full — you never lose money to the weather.
Children are welcome, and must be watched near the water.
Please be ready at the pick-up time we agree: the boat cannot wait on one hotel.
