Boat trips and island days from Hurghada
Every island day leaves Hurghada Marina in the morning, most of them at eight, and is back in the afternoon. Hotel pickup and drop-off, the boat with a licensed crew, snorkelling gear and a guide in the water are in the price of each one. Marine park and island entry fees, where they apply, are not.
The islands are not the same day. Orange Bay, Utopia and Hula Hula are white sand and water shallow enough to stand up in. Mahmya is a beach club on Giftun with loungers and a restaurant. Magawish is the shortest crossing, so less boat and more island. Eden and Ozeria stop at two different reefs before you land. At Shaab El Erg, the Dolphin House reef, wild spinner dolphins rest, though nobody can promise they will be there.
For something shorter, Sea Scope shows you the reef through glass without getting wet, and parasailing is eight to ten minutes in the air. Divers can make a first dive with an instructor beside them, or two guided dives with a certificate. A private speedboat takes up to eight of you wherever you want to stop.
